Usage limits

A subscription has two limits only, a 5-hour limit and a weekly limit. Where to follow them, what happens when you reach one, and how to keep working.

Each limit resets on its own schedule, and the dashboard and 5abeer AI show what is left. When you reach one of the two, you have four ways to keep working.

The two limits#

  • 5-hour limit: what you can use within five hours, then it resets.
  • Weekly limit: what you can use within a week, then it resets.

Your use in every app turned on with the same subscription counts against the same two limits.

Limits by plan#

The Bundle plans run the same apps and differ in their limits: Max (formerly Max 5x) has 5 times the Pro plan's limits and Ultra (formerly Max 20x) has 20 times. The comparison is on the pricing page.

Where to follow your limits#

  • The "Your subscription" page in the dashboard: what is left of each limit, and when it resets.
  • The 5abeer AI app: both limits for each subscription, and a notice when you get close to one.
  • The "Subscription usage" page: the value of each request at the model's official price. The value is for your information only and is never charged to any balance.

Open Your subscription in the dashboard.

When you reach a limit#

Your subscription's requests stop until the limit resets, and the app gets the USAGE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED error. A quick retry doesn't help here, because the limit resets on its schedule. You have four options:

Wait for the reset#

The reset time shows on the "Your subscription" page and in 5abeer AI.

Buy a weekly limit reset#

"Reset weekly limit" starts your weekly and 5-hour limits over the moment it activates, and the new week counts from then. You find it on the "Your subscription" page at any time while your subscription is active and your plan offers it, and you pay for it the way you pay for your plan. Before you pay, the payment window shows:

  • what is left of your weekly limit now, because it isn't added to the new week;
  • when your limit would renew by itself, free, if you don't buy a reset;
  • when your subscription ends, because a reset doesn't extend it.

Continue from your wallet balance#

When you turn on "Continue from the wallet", requests keep going after the limit and are charged to your balance for what you use, until the limit resets. Requests stop if your balance runs short. This setting stays off until you turn it on; you find it under "Advanced settings" on the "Your subscription" page and in 5abeer AI.

Move to a higher plan#

A higher plan runs the same apps with higher limits. An upgrade starts right away: what you haven't used of your current plan counts toward the new one, so you pay only the difference, and the new plan starts a full 30-day period, as in Renewal.

Limits and API keys#

The subscription's two limits don't apply to API keys. What limits API key requests is your balance, and a spend limit if you set one on the key, as in Errors and fixes.
