Account and payment#
Do I need a bank card?#
In Egypt: no bank card needed; pay with an e-wallet such as Vodafone Cash, InstaPay, or an international card. Outside Egypt: pay by international card. Details in Payment methods.
Why do you ask for a phone number?#
We ask for a phone number once, when you create your account, so we can reach you quickly about your account or balance. Details in Why we ask for a phone number.
How do I track my usage?#
Your dashboard shows your usage and its cost per key and per model, with a log of requests. For a subscription it shows how much of the 5-hour and weekly limits you have used.
The API#
Will my existing code work?#
If it's written for the OpenAI or Anthropic library, or in their format, change only the base URL and the key. See Base URLs.
Does the same key work with every model?#
No. Each key works with one provider's models, so create a key for each provider you need. All your keys draw on the same balance. Details in Keys and authentication.
How much does a request cost?#
You pay per million tokens, with one price for input and one for output, and every model costs less than its official price. This is the price of the default model in our examples:

Subscriptions#
What's the difference between a subscription and the API?#
A subscription is a fixed monthly price for using the official apps. With the API you pay for what you use from your balance, and call the models from your code or your coding tools.
Does the subscription run on my own official account?#
Yes. The subscription runs on your own official account, and is activated within minutes.
Do all plans include every official app?#
Every Bundle plan runs every official app, from the smallest to the largest. The plans and their prices are on the pricing page, and what each one runs is in What each plan runs.
What are a subscription's usage limits?#
Two only: a 5-hour limit and a weekly limit, and each renews automatically on schedule. Details in Usage limits.
The 5abeer AI app#
What is the 5abeer AI app?#
5abeer's desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux. You sign in with your account, and it sets up the official apps to run on your 5abeer subscription. Details in the 5abeer AI guide.
Do I need an API key to use the app?#
No. The app signs in with your 5abeer account and sets your apps up on your subscription, with no API key. It needs an active subscription; with an API key, follow the tool's guide.

No. 5abeer is an independent service, not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.
