In Saudi Arabia and the UAE, ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro cost the same in each country's App Store. The higher plans, ChatGPT Pro, Claude Max and Claude Ultra, cost several times more, and the cheapest paid plan is ChatGPT Go. How much is ChatGPT in Saudi Arabia and the UAE?#

OpenAI sells ChatGPT Go, Plus and Pro in the ChatGPT iPhone app, priced in local currency. Go is the cheapest, the Pro tiers cost several times as much as Plus, and the prices are in the table above.

What each plan is:

• ChatGPT Go is OpenAI's lower-priced plan, and its price varies by region, as on OpenAI's Go page.
• ChatGPT Plus is the plan above Go, as on OpenAI's Plus page.
• ChatGPT Pro comes in three tiers, Pro 100, Pro 200 and Pro 500, as on OpenAI's Pro tiers page.

How much is Claude in Saudi Arabia and the UAE?#

Anthropic sells Claude Pro monthly or yearly, plus Claude Max and Claude Ultra, in the Claude iPhone app. Monthly Pro costs the same as ChatGPT Plus in each country, and the prices are in the table above.

Anthropic says its Max 20x plan is now called Ultra, as on its Ultra plan page. The plan below it is now listed as Max. The difference between the three plans is in Claude Pro vs Max.

Why is the App Store price different from the website price?#

The website prices are set in US dollars. These are the prices on the OpenAI and Anthropic websites:

Three things make the two prices differ:

• The currency. The App Store shows a set price for each country in its own currency, not the dollar price converted.
• Tax. Anthropic says the prices on its pricing page don't include tax, and that some regions include tax in the displayed price while others add it at checkout, as on its Pro plan page. Check the final amount on the payment page before you confirm.
• Who you pay. In the iPhone app you pay Apple, not OpenAI or Anthropic. You manage and cancel that subscription from your Apple account settings.

How do you pay for ChatGPT and Claude in the Gulf?#

On its website, Anthropic accepts credit and debit cards only, and not third-party payment processors such as PayPal, as stated in its billing FAQs. If you subscribe in the Claude app on iPhone or Android, the App Store or Google Play handles the payment.

In the iPhone apps you pay with your Apple account. Apple's payment methods page lists these options, as we checked on November 1, 2026:

Apple says mobile phone billing is available only with supported carriers, so check the methods in your Apple account settings. On Android, Google Play decides which payment methods are available. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are both on the list of countries where Anthropic offers its services.

Is a private account safer than a shared one?#

Yes, a private account is safer than a shared one, but what matters most is that it is your own account, not the seller's. A few simple rules:

• Don't buy an account shared with other people, because your chats can be seen by everyone who uses it.
• Never give a seller the password to your own account.
• Ask where the subscription runs. If it runs on an account the seller owns, you may lose access to it, and to your chats.

The safe choice is a subscription that runs on your own official account, whether you buy it from OpenAI or Anthropic directly, or from a service that works on your own account.
