Compare any site that sells an AI API on six questions: the minimum top-up, the price per million tokens against the official price, whether it requires a subscription, how you sign up, how you pay, and which models it offers. ## What is the minimum top-up?

The minimum decides whether you can try before you commit. Look for a site that lets you start with a small amount and then top up any amount, with no plan and no fixed fee.

## What is the price per million tokens against the official price?

Compare the site's price per million tokens with the official price of the same model, for input and output together, because output usually costs several times more. Don't stop at the input price, and don't trust a price in pounds that doesn't name the model.
